Knips Rembrand Verlag Berlin, 1979 The Foto-Diary gave form to a 13 year old project earlier called The Walls. A highly personal account of the Berlin years, it contains many unforgettable images. The personal approach to his photography has caused many conflicts with editors and publishers over the years. Finding these friends in the business with similar attitudes is difficult. The memorable color photographs first appeared in the legendary »twen« magazine and were later in »Look« and in »Zoom«. Siddhartha Swan Verlag Kehl am Rhein, 1982 The development of a positive feeling for sexuality in religion provided the idea for illustrations to the Bible's »Song of Solomon«. It contains some of the finest photographs done in Italy for the youth magazine, Due Piu at the publisher, Mondadori. Das Hohe Lied Burkhard Haus Offenbach, 1985 McBride was tired of working for art directors who's ideas he thought overused and non-visual.There was only one place to go into the art world. Will McBride Studio Will McBride Editions Frankfurt/Main, 1986 The young males inspired these photographs of boys, some of them nude, causing raised eyebrows and frowns but bringing interest to a theme once held exclusively by pedophiles. Boys Bucher Verlag München, 1986 McBride's young friend, Richard Geldmacher provided the inspiration for a series of color photographs based on his life and poetry . »R« Will McBride Editions Frankfurt/Main, 1988 Aids made the sexual problem more difficult. It was no longer enough to tell young people to get closer. It was necessary to show them how - often without sex. The use of condoms is shown in this book, as well as different sexual lifestyles including gay and lesbian relationships. Throughout the 80's McBride sent a pamphlet around describing the Frankfurt scene.
